Project ASHA
This is a Livelihood project dedicated towards economic empowerment of women. In this project we encourage women for economic activities towards self-sustainability. The Foundation For Poverty Alleviation is assisting women of North East Delhi to Form Self Help Groups. We also provided Home based Sewing Machines to young girls so that they can earn livelihood with hope that violence on women will be reduced.
Project Asha has established Training Cum Fabrication centres, which is also intended for economic empowerment of women. This centre is equipped with 16 industrial Grade sewing machines along with other equipment required for fabrication. This centre is currently serving the source of livelihood of approximately 25 families.
Once the risk of Covid19 subsides, the centre will train the women and girls of locality in their livelihood.
